Weekend

A had a pretty long, fun weekend. Let me start of with Saturday. When I was a kid, my friends and I used to ride the bus all over the city. Then we grew up, started driving, and no more riding the bus or for that matter exploring much of the city. SO this saturday I had the chance to enjoy some time with them and go too Placita Olvera... awesome day, only forgot to get myself a CHURRO! Although I did get some of my favorite candy. After, we headed back home for some food. TROY'S Burgers!

They make some awesome burgers, been going there for the past 18 years. And last thing I did for the day..... 6 hr board game... yes took us that long. We didn't even finish! It is this game called RISK. Pretty much about conquering other countries and so on. Fun, but once you hit midnight and you are still playing the game, yeah it gets tiring. Next time we plan on meeting up early and make it Game Day, no more game night. ha. I'll bring some coffee and my PJ's. Overall it had been a long time since I had a relaxing saturday.

So Sunday... Well sunday was lazy and busy. But I had so much energy today. Woke up early to go for my 5 mile run.... I know some people can do more, but I am proud of myself. And man does running give you so much energy, especially after a nap. I woke up and then headed to a performance by my good friend Jeremie. This kid has been playing for years and I am glad we finally got to see him perform. I remember when one of my friends' and I wanted to start up a band we asked him for pointers. He jammed out with us and was so good that we got intimidated. haha. He was our Yoko and broke us up.... in his words. HA no, but I am glad that he got the courage to perform. It is very nerve- wrecking to go up on stage and do it. I know i was pretty close in doing the same. But Paola and I could never finish our songs. We would write them, make music for them and stop half way. It isn't easy. I still have some of my guitars... sometimes I am tempted to try and write a song once again. I don't know. I wish I had saved our music. It wasn't too bad. Here is a video of Jer performing a Bob Dylan cover.

Overall it was a good weekend. Tomorrow I'll be up early for my morning run, do another photoshoot and a small picnic at the park. I am enjoying these sunny days in L.A. Yes I got my new lens and it is amazeballs! Love it. I am really excited to see all the awesome pictures I'll be taking on my trip. I am already organizing the stops we will be making and yeah.. it is going to be awesome!!! Can't wait for summer. Ok I am getting back too my Golden Globes. I heart Colin Firth! Seriously if I went to the Golden Globes I would at least make an attempt to shave my legs... that goes for you Monique.. I know that is from last year but I am sure she still doesn't give a damn about her legs.. hmmmm maybe it is admirable? I wish I could win a Golden Globe. When I was a kid I would always prepare my speeches, I also had one in Spanish just in case my mom needed translating. Who I would thank, who I would take, and what I would wear. I would rather win an Oscar though! It is never too late. OK someone tell me.. do I really need to watch the Social Network??? Just hearing Justin Timberlake and Facebook together makes me shudder.... so someone please advice.
