Hollywood vs. the cold

Jesus and Colin Firth would like to thank you for your time if you watch the Oscars tonight.

Ok it seems that ABC forgot to advise people that this year they were starting the ceremony at FIVE PM not 8... ugh. So with that in mind, I missed the beginning and was super sad. But still, I did get to enjoy the major winners. So I went over to my friend's house, had yummy pizza, made our own ballot guesses, talked a lot of shit. We were funny I must say. Enjoyed a lot of good conversation. yes I am a shame to say that I honestly thought the Social Network was going to win Best Director.. but it didn't. Good film, but I think after a few months it lost it's hype... now if you can, please check out Randy Newman's speech. He was like that crazy old drunk uncle that everyone loves. He was the winner for Best Song for Toy Story 3. Anyway it was cool to see a few cast members of The Fighter win... I met those guys! James Franco was super high... seriously check out his expressions. Classic. Overall, I think the Oscars are a big thing here in L.A., as they should. It is fun to see people get into it and enjoy them. I think it is an L.A. thing to do and you really can't deny that. That is part of what our culture is... sadly, watching the Oscar fashion trend is included :/. But it was cool to have walked the red carpet (check last post on my blog).

Anyway, Natalie Portman's speech was boring, I can never understand Christian Bale, I seriously think Colin Firth should of taken his shirt off... and what was Chris O'Donell doing at the Oscar parties? I bet he wants to be Robin again and is trying to beg Nolan to take him haha... celebrities running into him were probably saying, "hey robin, haven't seen you in a long time, where is Batman?. Ok maybe that is funny to me? Anyway that Best Picture Montage was amazing... going along with a dialogue from the King's Speech as amazing images from all the Best Picture films were shown. Great composure of music, words, and images...

Anyway L.A. has been freezing these past few days. I guess it has snowed.. well in Burbank, but still pretty amazing. I can't believe all these women at the Oscars were wearing sleeveless gowns in this weather! Right now I am freezing as I sit in my room typing this. Wearing Jeans and going to the toilet in the morning is very painful process. The toilet seat is so cold, I shiver. Maybe too much information there, but I am sure there is someone out there who agrees with me!?

Well over the weekend as I was trying to clean my camera... I realized a lot of dust was building up... well the genius of me tried to clean it and failed. Now I think I have a scratch mirror sensor thing... ugh. So I have to go to the Canon Service Shop or a Camera Store where they can fix it... I seriously was upset. My camera is my joy and one of my greatest possessions. First thing I would grab if there was an earthquake. I just hope it is fixable. So far my images don't get damage, but it is still painful to see those scratches through my viewfinder. UGH. I especially need it for a photo shoot I am doing with 2 friends, heading to Malibu Beach and Downtown L.A. Need to build a portfolio of some sort.

Alright too much excitement today. I seriously was full of joy when King's Speech won, for a second I thought the Social Network was going to take it. Although I am glad they took Best Score. Amazing. I think today I fell more in love with film. Not just because of the Oscars, but because of the feeling I get each time I talk about film. Anyway check out some of my pics I took above... obviously except for the Colin Firth and Jesus one. Have a good day everyone!
