So I practically went to the Oscars.....

So today I went to Hollywood to see how the madness of the Oscar set-up was going. I WALKED THE RED CARPET!!!!!!!!! By the way, there are soooo many weird things going on in Hollywood. But honestly, that is what makes this area pretty much awesome and entertaining. It was also weird to run into Christian Bale's publicist. I remember her from working on The Fighter press junket. I should of yelled out her name and asked her to give me a random job on sunday. This is the first time I do this. It was sort of surreal. I have been to Hollywood and Highland many times, but today was the first time I saw the Oscar set-up. Of course we all dream of being part of a cool even or being recognized for our work. Soo with that in mind one day? It is nice to feel why I love movies. It is the only time where you get to leave your world, at least for 2 hours. The only time you are in another place. Films cheer you up, make you cry, make you feel, laugh, etc. They speak us, maybe even relate to us at times, regardless if we are American or British. So it is nice to think how much film connects us.

I was interviewed by BBC UK. So many reporters everywhere, oddly enough they wanted to interview Americans, as that was one of the first questions I was asked. I was asked who do I think will win Best actor... uh COLIN FREAKING FIRTH! Then I was asked who did I think would win best Picture... UH KING'S SPEECH! Best actress... :/ that was pretty much my face. And then worst dressed.. Helena Boham Carter... but I appreciate that woman so I see it as something to admire. It was cool. Before me they interviewed some guy who kept talking about the Social Network.. the reporter then asked him "do you know of any of the other films being nominated" and he said "no....." haha made me laugh. And the soundtrack is amazing! So my money is on Social Network winning Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. We shall see. I am excited to see James Franco host.. I think he is the creepiest looking, hottest guy right now. Oh which reminds me, the cashier at Quiznos was mighty good looking, he looked like Rob Lowe. Seriously.. I guess only in Hollywood?







After continuing our walk around Hollywood, my friend and I were stopped to take a picture for H&M Magazine. No idea why but I did... and then I was complimented on my smile and style. So that completely made my day. Over all it was a cool day. I went to school to check out the Master's program for Film and Television. But I am still figuring out what next steps to take in my life. I don't know, for now I am going to probably write up my application and see what my advisor tells me. It would be cool to eventually become a Film Professor. But not sure if going to Grad school will happen, there is a reason why things are happening. Why I am still in this field, why the international business program isn't going to work out. And the idea of doing a thesis scares me. Although I believe writing a screenplay can also be an option for me to do besides a thesis. I guess time will tell.

So this weekend I shall be with a few friends hanging out and watching the Oscars. I wonder if it is just here in L.A. that such thing happens. OK I know I had said I wasn't going to write on here for a while. But how else can I share these stories!

It is almost March and that means Las Vegas... Oh, I am very much looking forward to it! But it also means Steve Carell will be leaving The Office soon :(. By the way... I really need to start taking my camera everywhere I go. I think that is the only way I can see and appreciate life. Through my own eyes.

OK I am out... I smell like perfume since I went inside Sephora and started playing with all their perfumes. BTW, they say it might snow in L.A. and San Fran this weekend. It has been cold, It would be super awesome!!! And why the fudge are gas prices sooo high, ugh!
